Outdoor classes

Price:10€ on the day or 8.50€ when paying online at time of booking.

Julie's outdoors classes are vinyasa yoga style. They involve actively moving in and out of postures, following the breath, under the guidance of the eight limbs of yoga. 
Keeping the practice flowing allows for complete concentration, bringing peace to the mind, and generating heat in the body to increase awareness, strength and mobility. 
This type of yoga practice is suitable for all levels, and may sit well with you if you already enjoy an active lifestyle or would like to build up to it.

Online yoga classes

🙌 Zoom yoga continuing in July! 

One weekly class this summer: ashtanga primary series (led class or variations to focus on techniques or postures). 

Not suitable for complete beginners.
Keeping on with tradition, the class will last 90min.

Private tuition

During Covid19 restrictions, classes must be held outdoors, either on a public space in Derrynane (I know of many beautiful spots) , or in your private garden (mileage rates applies).

Online Yoga practice guidelines - please read!

Hi everyone, 

These days of pandemic, it is wise to avoid gathering indoors and spread the virus. However I do believe that yoga can help us relax and cheer up when we are all feeling anxious, for our loved ones and for ourselves. It is also a way of getting a full body exercise without leaving your home. 

Follow the instructions to the extent of your abilities only. Within all postures of the sequence, you should be able to breathe freely. Pay attention to feelings in your body and avoid any discomfort in the joints - a stretching feeling in the muscles is good, pressure in any joints or the spine is not.

There is nothing wrong with sitting out some of the class, just take this time to relax and enjoy the kindness you are doing yourself. With a regular practice you will notice a sense of ease developing, have the patience to let it come. Going too far and hurting yourself is by all means counterproductive!

If you are pregnant, or have a particular health condition, do consult with your doctor before following any kind of exercise.

Green Blue Yoga

Back in 2007, I attended my first yoga class, looking for a form of exercise that may alleviate shoulder cramps and lower back pain. Did yoga change my life? Maybe... As I kept on practicing, I gained flexibility, muscle tone and a new self-awareness. I learnt to observe my life in a kind, assertive and trusting way. I had started building a career in IT, working with people all over the world for multinational corporations but realised this didn't really suit me. So in 2017,  I traveled to India to train as yoga teacher and back in Ireland I also qualified as an equestrian trek leader, before moving from Cork to South Kerry and pursue the life I dreamt of as a child.

Today, I live in a most beautiful place, amongst wild natural landscapes and a wonderful community. I am ever so grateful to yoga for providing me with a deeper connection to myself, unlocking the self-confidence to find my own way, and I hope to share some of these many benefits through teaching.

Oh, and by the way, I am French, settled in Ireland since 2005. When I chose the name Green Blue Yoga, I was simply watching the deep colours of the sea and land surrounding me, but I guess it works for my native and adoptive countries' colours too !  🙏💚💙
